Construction & COVID-19

Like many industries, we’ve faced some significant challenges these past few months. Building permit divisions temporarily closed their offices, clients understandably worried about letting workers into their homes, and even whether planned projects were still financially advisable during these uncertain times slowed things down considerably. Believe me, we get it.

Safety and cleanliness have always been important factors in the way we do business, but to protect you, your families and our teammates, we’ve added some new protocols.

(continued)

  • At the beginning of all interior projects, LPS will install a ZipWall barrier system to seal out the construction area from the rest of your home.
  • LPS team members will wear masks at all times in your home.
  • At the end of the workday, we will wipe down all light switches and door handles with antibacterial wipes.
Luckily, there are minimal contact projects that can still be completed. Basement construction and renovations are especially easy if there is a separate entrance. And now is a great time to tackle some of those exterior projects – painting, deteriorating fascias on house eves and porches, roofing, siding, patios. Hardscape projects, such as this firepit/patio, can be installed without any in-home contact. The LPS team stands ready to help!

These past few months have been challenging for everyone, and we hope that you are all safe and healthy amid the COVID-19 pandemic. As the state of this public health emergency changes from day to day, we will remain focused on keeping our employees and our clients safe, healthy, and informed. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
